Learn how to use ClockEye effectively as a team member.
Time Tracking
ClockEye offers multiple ways to track your time, from manual entry to fully automatic tracking.
Manual Timer
Use the timer controls in the top bar or dashboard to start/stop tracking manually.
Automatic Tracking
With the desktop app installed, ClockEye can automatically detect when you are working:
- Detects active application usage and keyboard/mouse activity
- Automatically pauses during idle periods (configurable threshold)
- Links time to projects based on detected applications
Manual Time Entry
Add time entries manually for work done offline or on mobile:
- 1.Go to Time → Add Entry
- 2.Select date, start time, and end time
- 3.Choose project and add description
- 4.Click Save to add the entry
Screenshots
ClockEye captures periodic screenshots to help document work and provide visibility to managers.
View Screenshots
Access your screenshots from Screenshots in the sidebar. Filter by date, project, or activity level.
Delete Screenshots
Remove sensitive screenshots before upload. The associated time will be marked as unverified.
Privacy Controls
You have control over your screenshot privacy:
- Enable blur mode to automatically blur sensitive content
- Exclude specific applications from screenshot capture
- Use private mode to pause all monitoring temporarily
Reports
Generate detailed reports to analyze your work patterns and productivity.
Time Summary
View total hours worked by day, week, or month. See breakdown by project and activity type.
Productivity Report
Analyze your productivity score, active vs idle time, and application usage patterns.
Timesheet
Generate weekly or bi-weekly timesheets for approval and payroll purposes.
Export Options
Projects
Organize your work by projects to track time accurately and generate meaningful reports.
Selecting a Project
Before starting the timer, select the project you will be working on:
- Use the project dropdown in the timer bar
- Pin frequently used projects for quick access
- Use keyboard shortcuts for faster project switching
Tags and Descriptions
Add tags like "meeting", "coding", or "review" to categorize your work. Use descriptions to note what you accomplished during each session.
